WILDERNESS Beaver Cub
1994- 2 berth
"The Owl & The Pussycat"

Designed by us as the ultimate compact inland waterway trailboat, this 1994 example of our 2-berth Beaver-Cub is one of only 7 built during the 1990’s and it is , unexpectedly, on sale through our brokerage service.

The Beaver Cub is a shortened version of the Beaver-23 but still retains the Beaver’s large stern deck.

Although a 5 owner boat it is in good condition for its age and this is a rare opportunity to purchase a compact but very comfortable well-equipped  2-berth boat.

The interior layout provides a forward saloon area with twin dinette tables which when lowered at night provide either, two long single berths or wide double-across.

The compact but workable galley on the port side has a worktop with an enamelled sink/drainer and a matching 4 burner hob with grill.   Below the worktop there are generous shelved storage cupboards and additional “slide-under” storage at floor level.

Opposite the galley, on the starboard side, and at high level, is a 50L Shoreline electric fridge with wardrobe space below.

Aft the fridge/wardrobe is a toilet/shower compartment with a full length glass fibre shower tray and twin tank porti potty 265.    On the back wall there is space to fit a fold-away basin.

Lighting throughout, is by modern low energy LED’s and, as an optional extra at time of build, there is a sun-roof fitted above the galley.

Hot water is supplied to sink and shower by a recently installed Truma room-sealed gas fired 13L storage heater; space heating is from a thermostatically controlled diesel-fired warm air heater.
Both heaters are situated under one of the exterior locker lids in the rear cockpit.

Water storage (100L flexible bag)  is at the front of the boat under the bow seating.     Gas bottle storage is also up front is in a fire-retarded storage locker under a cover in the bow deck.

There is storage space under all of the saloon seating as well as very useful under-cockpit storage space for folding chairs and tables or BBQ’s for summer evenings ashore.

Electrical power for the fridge and other appliances is from 2no. 100A/hr leisure batteries (3 years old) which are supported by a roof top solar panel and the outboard engines charging system.

All the usual loose navigational equipment is included in the sale.
The external surfaces are all in original glass fibre gel-coat finish.
There are a few external maintenance jobs requiring attention such as the re-painting of the grab-rails and cockpit safety rails and the boat is priced accordingly.
The Boat Safety Certificate runs to 2026.

Tech Specs:

The engine is a tiller-steered 4-stroke Parsun 15hp outboard which was fitted new in 2012 and has been professionally fully, serviced two years ago and is currently reported as running well. It is fitted with one of our aluminium rudders which makes for good slow-speed steerage into locks and moorings.
